As a guy, I never thought I would be glad for anything pink! However, we received notification from the US Embassy today that our pink slip has been issued. We must be in Guatemala on the 10th and we will receive Iszabella on that day. Our appointment at the Embassy is scheduled for the 11th and we can then travel home on the 13th.
Thank you for your prayers as we travel this journey. We will keep you updated. Thanks

Update
We received our June update today along with new pictures. Not sure if you notice, but it looks like Iszabella loves cars - chewing on them - I'm sure that is the making of our first brother / sister fight. "Mom/Dad baby sister is chewing on McQueen or King, make her STOP!"
Parker is ready to be a big brother. He has been praying for his baby sister for several months now. A few weeks ago, he asked if I thought God was putting the blood in her. It is funny to listen to his questions about the process, but he knows that his baby sister is coming from God. I am so grateful to God for Parker and our newest addition to our family.
The report that we received from the agency shows that Iszabella is saying momma and dada. She also has two teeth (if she was older and only had two teeth, we might think she was from Arkansas - that was for our Arkansas friends), she is crawling and waves good-bye.

Update on Pink
I spoke to the adoption agency this morning and was told our attorney is submitting the file to the Embassy on Thursday of this week. That means that the birth certificate and passport have now been issued with the last name of Davis. The Embassy generally takes about 4 to 7 days to issue the "pink slip." Therefore, it appears we might be in Guatemala the week after July 4th; that is pure speculation on my part, but if the time line holds true then that is a good estimate. Thanks for your continued prayers and for checking up on the blog.

Patiently Awaiting
Well it is Sunday, June 17th-Father's Day and we are patiently awaiting our pink slip that allows us to make our travel arrangements to Guatemala to pick up Iszabella. I am praying that we will get word very soon that we can make our airline reservations. I wish all the Father's that might be reading this a very happy Father's Day!

Answer to Prayers
We received word from our adoption agency that our file was approved by PGN. What does that mean? It basically means that we are now waiting only for a birth certificate and passport to be issued before we can travel to pick up our daughter. Thank you for praying for us and please keep us in your prayers as we travel to bring her home and we become a family.
